Couldn't be going better. We're going to get our 360 without any of the batters racking up a huge total and subsequent PFL loss :)

Toiling somewhat today. Their opening bat has a £135k wage, £18k less than my whole squad of 22.

2 jubs in now, so we've slowed up rather dramatically, at least it guarantees day 2 gate receipts.

Good performance from Mrs BB's bowlers, shame she couldn't winkle them ouit for less than 240.

DIBS DIPPERS v Inter Lancs

DIBS DIPPERS won the toss and elected to field.
Pitch: Uneven
The players are off the field for the change of innings.

End of Over 86 (Maiden). Inter Lancs: 243-10, runrate=2.83
Overs remaining today: 24
Kealey 19-3-64-3
Tonge* 0 (2 balls)

Young all rounder Brian Fecking Graham (BFG) continues his development taking 3-36 to clear out the middle order. Double edged sword though as if they go all out we have to face some overs in the cloud so while I welcome the bowling points, I'd be happy if their 10 and 11 lingered for a while. Could happen as their 10 is a 19yo quality batsman, impressive batting depth.

End of Over 92 (1 run). Parkway Sports: 300-8, runrate=3.26
Overs left today: 18
Barrowdale 24-3-85-2
Xola* 29 (41 balls)
May 0 (14 balls)

Last Wicket: Roscoe lbw b. Barrowdale 18 (FOW: 288/8)

Oppo going at a pedestrian rate - 289/5 at the COP. Wierdly enough Ngundane (superb/remark) takes 3-45 and Deane a wicket whilst the likes of Richardson, Waters and Mbata take NO wickets on a bowling friendly day on a bowler friendly pitch and 2 out of 3 of these guys are spinners. Very, very odd! So glad im going with 7 bowlers as if i had 4 or 5, they'd be nigh on dead as most were on low energetic/high invig!! I have 3423 members and got £430K so im lagging behind a bit despite being the 3rd best side on SZ ... !!

7 wickets to take tomorrow to wrap up a quick victory. Mckie was out for 113 but the only other high scorer with 180 no is a reserve opener. Bowlers may take a slight PFL hit but at least an extra day to recover and I may well drop to 3 bowlers tomorrow and make one of those the all rounder that didn't bowl today

Amazed by this scoreline!

End of Over 110 (12 runs). Southend: 339-5, runrate=3.08
Mubarack 33-9-96-2
Tsietsi* 109 (210 balls)
Rennie 38 (105 balls)
Last Wicket: Davenport st. Clegg b. Duncan 6 (FOW: 237/5)

Their number 10 conveniently dug in for 8 from 75 balls (including a 4!) before falling in the penultimate over to leave them 324/9. Means we pick up full bowling points and avoided batting in the cloudy & humid conditions. Will now look to bat for as long as possible, I still expect to lose, their bowlers are immense, but if a couple can put a decent partnership in we might still be able to force a draw..

We ended the day on 337/6 after bowling them out for 30. Only 2 batters to go past 100 balls were the 2 jubs, a great performance. Looking to wrap it up by about 2pm.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Mrs BB 96/2 in reply to IL's 243ao. She's not set a declaration target, as the batters are a lot fresher than the bowlers, and conditions are better for bowling tomorrow.

They put on another 20 for the 10th wicket before BFG took his 4th to finish with impressive figures of 4-48. Sini survives a two dropped catches so far and we're under the cosh a bit.

End of Over 4 (Maiden). ShrimperZone CC: 8-0, runrate=2.00
Trail by 333 runs. (Parkway Sports 341-10)
Overs left today: 99
Lias 2-1-3-0
Sinethemba* 2 (8 balls)
Wanless 5 (16 balls)

Draw looking a safe bet at lunch.

The players are off the field for lunch.

End of Over 28 (5 runs). ShrimperZone CC: 92-1, runrate=3.29
Trail by 249 runs. (Parkway Sports 341-10)
Overs left today: 75
Roscoe 5-1-26-0
Wanless* 46 (89 balls)
Lamey 30 (42 balls)

Last Wicket: Sinethemba c. Ameer b. Lias 13 (FOW: 38/1)

Didn't do very well bowling wise yesterday and today set the batsmen to bowl to save PFL - looks like a draw

The players are off the field for lunch.

End of Over 11 (2 runs). Southend United: 36-0, runrate=3.27
Trail by 404 runs. (WestSide VendeTTa 440-4)
Overs left today: 75
Hearn 1-0-2-0
Hoult* 26 (46 balls)
Marcel 9 (20 balls)

Won this no contest in a canter just before lunch. Two 5 wicket hauls for Blinkhorn and improving wonderful/quality/feeble batting though this is still behind the curve for this level. Exceptional/Masterful bowling is not the best I can muster.

Won by an inns and 284, time for the boys to rest up before Friday's game.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Mrs BB building a nice lead, after a bit of a collapse left her 175/5

DIBS DIPPERS v Inter Lancs

DIBS DIPPERS have resumed their innings.

Tonge 13-3-23-3
Carden* 143 (176 balls)
Eagles 39 (123 balls)
