FC - Match 8

Looking very good for B and my 4th place rival has no bowling points yet. Hoping opps have not set a high declaration. Closing in on 2nd bowling point myself.

Could be the title on a plate for Muse. Nice little cameo from Benji at the end.

The players are off the field for the change of innings.

End of Over 43 (Maiden). Gatley: 130-10, runrate=3.02
Trail by 173 runs. (ShrimperZone CC 303-10)
Overs left today: 67
Benjamin 3-1-3-3
Arunakumara* 14 (43 balls)

Thought I had a chance, didn't think it would go this well. And this is without my new bowler taking a wicket (which I'm putting down to unfitness). Spinners are ruling this match and the pitch is flat, food for thought......

End of Over 20 (6 runs). Gatley: 57-4, runrate=2.85 (1st Inn: 130-10)
Trail by 116 runs. (ShrimperZone CC 303-10)
Overs left today: 47
Marriott 1-0-6-1
Saifuddin* 0 (2 balls)
Arunakumara 6 (4 balls)

Last Wicket: Sayce c. Digana b. Marriott 28 (FOW: 51/4)

Super stuff B!

End of Over 23 (1 run). Seaside Special: 45-2, runrate=1.96 (1st Inn: 151-10)
Trail by 75 runs. (Southend 271-10)
Overs left today: 40
Parry 2-0-2-0
Johnson* 20 (63 balls)
Mcclory 7 (34 balls)
Last Wicket: Sinethemba c. Chill b. Raipur 16 (FOW: 29/2)

End of Over 39 (3 runs). The Pulsators: 73-3, runrate=1.87 (1st Inn: 119-10)
Trail by 77 runs. (Southend United 269-10)
Overs left today: 30
Lake 11-5-22-2
Mchugh* 31 (83 balls)
Sansome 16 (68 balls)
Last Wicket: Jones c. Gichki b. Hulse 2 (FOW: 33/3)

Almost there.

End of Over 45 (6 runs). Gatley: 111-7, runrate=2.47 (1st Inn: 130-10)
Trail by 62 runs. (ShrimperZone CC 303-10)
Overs left today: 22
Benjamin 7-4-10-3
Hibbert* 2 (13 balls)
Saifuddin 30 (86 balls)

Last Wicket: Howard b. Benjamin 1 (FOW: 98/7)

122 behindon first innings. 15 overs to survive tonight. Still expecting to lose but hoping to draw. I could end up only 14 points behind 4th if I do. They are fighting back but still looking most likely to lose their game

And that's the end of the match. Southend United won by an innings and 38 runs.

End of Over 69 (Maiden). The Pulsators: 112-10, runrate=1.62 (1st Inn: 119-10)
Trail by 38 runs. (Southend United 269-10)
Overs left today: 0
Lake 18-7-32-3
Von hoesslin* 0 (5 balls)
68.6 W Lake to Beechers
Timber. Lake pitches that on a good length and the ball holds its line, Beechers makes room to pull but swings his bat too early, the ball clips the thigh and hits the top of legstump.

Got through to the close intact. Realistically needing to bat 70 overs tomorrow for a draw. Possible but unlikely. 4th have turned their game around and a loss/draw is about where they are at. Need them to roll quickly tomorrow. At worst I need to match their result for 18 PTA behind at best 14.

Might have had a result, as my oppo has gone BOT overnight. He leads by 141, so if we can roll him over for another 120, we might yet win this...

End of Over 6 (2 runs). Jadenshire: 17-1, runrate=2.83 (1st Inn: 318-10)
Lead by 141 runs. (BATTY SHRIMPERS 194-10)
Begg 3-0-8-1
Winter* 7 (10 balls)
Mcallister 9 (24 balls)

Last Wicket: Tindall b. Begg 1 (FOW: 2/1)

Muse finishes his job so he's well clear at the top of the Championship and it leaves me 10 behind Seaside Special. Hopefully HHH will be fully fit by then (a shortened BT20 next week helps) and we can get the win we need to move ahead of them. I really need the prize money, relegation would be a financial disaster.

Hows Mrs BB going to replace them BB!? I notice her squad is somewhat "ageing" but she may have a shed load of money to spend that we dont know about?!

Looking like a draw unless something stupid happens after lunch...

Jadenshire v BATTY SHRIMPERS

Jadenshire have resumed their innings.

Pitch: Green
The players are off the field for lunch.

End of Over 41 (5 runs). Jadenshire: 113-4, runrate=2.76 (1st Inn: 318-10)
Lead by 237 runs. (BATTY SHRIMPERS 194-10)
Overs remaining today: 75
Gautham 1-0-5-0
Tsietsi* 38 (71 balls)
Rosefield 0 (23 balls)

Last Wicket: Mcghee c. Evelyn b. Begg 30 (FOW: 86/4)

Hmmm 4 wickets down lead by 11 - need to somehow get through to tea at a bare minimum. Can't see it. Good news is 4th place is also struggling.

I lost as did 4th and 6th. I think I'm 18 points behind and play 6th next up while 4th plays top. Not an easy game for me but definitely winnable and all down to final game fun against 4th place.

With a bit of difficulty I think. She's got 5.5m in the bank now, and she's looking to sell Shah as well. So that should take her up to about 8m at a guess. But 8m doesn't buy you a great deal when your in the upper ecehlons...
