FC Week 1 - AT LAST !

ShrimperZone CC v Southend

Nuff said for the moment!!

Away to a Level IV camper, who pulls some pretty decent ratings. Everyone at Sublime, so full-strength side out.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Mrs BB has her first game in Level VII. She's at home to a Level V OD, not a bad side, but she should have way too much for them.

Good toss to win.

Paladins Of Purple v BATTY SHRIMPERS

We can tell you that BATTY SHRIMPERS won the toss and elected to field. The pitch is looking quite cracked! A field day for the seam bowlers I would reckon on this partially cloudy and humid day.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------

DIBS DIPPERS v Freaks of Nature

We can tell you that DIBS DIPPERS won the toss and elected to field. The pitch is looking quite cracked! A field day for the seam bowlers I would reckon on this partially cloudy and windy day.

and Allan strikes first ball of the season

Welcome to swishswoshswash CG for the match between swishswoshswash and Napster's XI.

We can tell you that swishswoshswash won the toss and elected to bat. The pitch is looking a bit on the dry side. A fair bit of help for the spinners I think on this sunny day.

Lets join our team for ball-by-ball commentary.

0.3 . Allan to Woosnam
Allan has Woosnam reaching for that one like a hungry giraffe.
0.2 . Allan to Woosnam
Simply defended to cover and the batsman's score remains unchanged.
0.1 W Allan to Stanford
Through the gate and bang. The bowler doesn't even celebrate, instead taking a few steps to slow down with a 'pffft, that was so easy' expression on his face.

The weather forecast has done me over big time. I looked at 00.15 this morning and it said it would be cloudy in Yorkshire today and then sunny for the next few days. I see this morning (as of 11am) it has changed to sunny today and to partially cloudy and humid tomorrow so i'll be very surprised if i win. I thought the weather was accurate for the next 2 days not so for the 3 after that?! Any clarification!?

I always look at the 1st date (not today / tomorrow) and work it back from there. Been caught out too many times in the past.

I have no idea how good this is, a game between Muse and I was never going to be high scoring. Plus now we can't get the 11 out.

End of Over 61 (2 runs). Southend: 153-9, runrate=2.51
