Ferguson on Friendlies

Bentley's Absurd Gait

Guest
I know this isn't exactly a controversial opinion, but Alex Ferguson really is a ****. He sits there, huffing and puffing about the pointlessness of friendlies, but his opinion is based purely on one of his precious boys picking up a knock whilst playing for his country. I'm surprised he wasn't withdrawn like the majority of Man Utd players because of a bruised Range Rover or something.

He then snaps at a reporter who asks his opinion on Becks getting his 100th cap, because he didn't watch the game. The reason? He sanctimoniously announces he was watching his 'own country'. But I thought they were playing a pointless friendly, that was of interest to no-one?

Ferguson - you're a thistle-arsed orang-utan and I curse you.

It might be slightly easier to take him seriously if his club didn't have no trouble finding time to play money spinning friendlies against Asian opposition.
