That is cutting it ludicrously tight for your flight home! 😬😳

I still don't get why the club would lay on free/subsidised travel for this fixture. If we win, we then most likely have 2 away games to follow, what then? They will be midweek night games. Public transport is a nightmare/impossible for that. Surely laying on transport then would make more sense.

Didn’t Ron provide coaches for a tenner to Blackpool for Webby’s first game back (third stint)?

1055 sold so far according to all at sea
That’s a good start with a week to go. We had 700+ for our first visit in the drizzle. Last season it was freezing with the puddles on the athletics track turning to ice but at least we came home with a draw.
Now time for a win in the sunshine fellow Shrimpers!

Yep £167 each return (from Wickford).
We have family in the Scottish Borders and have never travelled there by train because of the cost, We have always flown from Stanstead to Edinburgh and hired a car. Much cheaper in cash and time.

Currently £82 return each on easyJet from Stanstead

Anyone wanting to go by train a two together railcard costs £30 but would pay for itself as you get a third off this and all other journeys (such as the playoffs) you do together for a year.

Didn't realise just how expensive the train would be. Any good alternatives for a Wickford lad?

No way I'm doing £200 on train/flight alone as much as I want to be there.

Agree, and it's all in theory, nothing booked.
Instead i could just wake up late, go and look at the allotment weeds, sit down with a beer or two, take another look at the weeds, have another beer, crank up the laptop using wifi from the next door community hall, link in to DAZN, watch the match, look at the weeds again, and be home at 5.30 pm. Total cost circa £25

65e return to Newcastle from here in Spain, albeit having to fly up late in the evening on the Sunday. Back Monday evening though.
