I think it would be harsh to have a go at Mooney there. On another day his toe poke would have got passed the defender and to Kanu.Highlights now available. No doubt the great Mooney debate will continue here as well. Seems to me though that it takes a complete team to concede a goal and everyone has a part to play. We got a point, time to move on.
I absolutely screamed at him for that bit of sloppiness.I think it would be harsh to have a go at Mooney there. On another day his toe poke would have got passed the defender and to Kanu.
Also, if you're going to have a go at Mooney for that then Kensdale deserves the same for his misplaced pass that nearly led to a goal. The only thing different was the finish.
It aint the losing of the ball for me; it's the reaction.I absolutely screamed at him for that bit of sloppiness.
Kensdales reaction when he lost the ball is exactly the same as Mooney's reaction. It aint the losing of the ball for me; it's the reaction.

I'd totally agree with that. I was going to make that point as well, but couldn't be bothered!Kensdales was worse - he was in control of the ball. Mooney was going for a 50:50 which by definition you're not going to come out with the ball frequently
head dropped immediately as he stopped running. a defender (kensdale?) gave someone a borroking out of shot, i can only guess it was at MooneyIt aint the losing of the ball for me; it's the reaction.

Yes: back at Mooney, lol! And this after the goal, not the second of two failed tackles.Kensdales reaction when he lost the ball is exactly the same as Mooney's reaction.
No no not the goal we conceded. When Kensdale brought the ball out of defence into the opposition half and then passed straight to one of their players, who then played a long ball putting one of their strikers through on goal forcing Martin to make a smart save. You can see it on around 2mins into the official Southend highlights on YouTube - or other threads on hereYes: back at Mooney, lol! And this after the goal, not the second of two failed tackles.
As do goalies... and yea, it happens often.Defenders always have a pop at someone when they concede - try to deflect attention
It's great to be debating the football again though after all these months !What is just a bit scary here is that we didn't even lose the game so the team eventually did ok. I doubt any of the players obvious, and less obvious, **** ups were missed by Kev and co and discussions will be had to put things straight.
