Assuming we can keep on winning, we need to improve our goals scored tally, our goal difference is ok when compared to the other clubs in the top 7 but with the table being so tight it could come down to goals scored for the automatic places.

Be great to see Barnard and Freddy banging them in, in theory even if only 80% fit those two should terrorise this league as the supply from midfield has been great this season.

Getting either, let alone both, 80% fit would be an achievement.

That's not going to happen though is it so i'm focussing on reality rather than fantasy

Our focus should be on winning games, not on trying to win games by X amount of goals. It will be a strange day when we are complaing that winning a game 1-0 wasnt enough.

Get enough points on the board so that we are in a position to be in the top 3 and we should have won enough games to have increased our goal difference, even if we did win them all 1-0.

Obivously scoring more would be nice but our defence is the best in the league so that counts for a lot as well.

Just look at how Gillingham won the league

Get the wins first-worry about the goal difference later. However good the goal difference is,it's only effectively worth an extra point anyway-okay I know every point is vital but let's just do enough to get the wins and avoid un-necessary injuries going for more goals. :-)

We scored loads of goals two seasons ago but apparently we didn't do it playing nice enough football :whistling:

So we want to win playing nice football and scoring a bucket load of goals. Don't ask for much do we?

Has it?

Mainly by kicking and elbowing players wasn't it?

Mentally I worry when we go two up in games as we then seem to sit back and drop deep inviting opposition on to us with obvious risks. I would like the guys to carry on and always look for more. The "hold what you have" idea is understandable but not IMO best policy.

Id happily win every game 1-0 to be honest.

Funny how goals were once important to you.
