Despite our threadbare defence, we've actually conceded the 3rd lowest goals in the league so far this season.

1st - Scunthorpe - 8 conceded
2nd - Chesterfield - 9 conceded
3rd - Southend - 10 conceded
4th - Rochdale/Mansfield - 11 conceded

By contrast, we've also scored the 4th lowest goals in the league so far.

1st - Accrington - 7 scored
2nd - Northampton/Plymouth - 8 scored
3rd - Bristol Rovers - 10 scored
4th - Southend - 12 scored

Nice to see that Brown is clearly doing something right to set the team up defensively as the stats don't lie! Credit to the back 4 and Dan Bentley.

If we can get Corr back in form and Eastwood fit and firing, we're not actually a million miles away from getting out of this bloody league!

I'm all out of optimism now  UTB!

Imagine how good the stat would look if we prevented even half of our set piece goals against us!!!

I would expect us to score more goals as Payne becomes involved more - along with Hurst, he seems our most creative threat.

I think the daggers game showed just how much defence isnt down the the back 5 but the team as a whole.

We have conceded a few frustrating goals but they are only that because we havent scored enough.

Fully agree. We have Laird to come back soon hopefully though and we look a more solid side with him in it. Let's hope he can hit the ground running.
