Quote[/b] (Bob Cratchitt @ June 15 2004,11:53)]Oh yes HAM is a great utility.

We are all still learning, the only difference is that we have experience on our side by 3 seasons. Of course Matt was lucky to be landed a Series V team straight away with the added bonus of the season being young. His has yet to experience the joy or low of promotion/relegation however he has built himself one helluva team and should be looking to be in Series IV next season. i hope to follow the season after.
Bob,

What are the plus and minus points of HAM over Hattrick Manager? or are they one of the same

Cheers
Andy

Bloomin' 'eck the new ratings systems for teams after matches is harsh. My team just won 7-0 in a friendly, with the team that I normally use, and now I am all weak and poor in places.

Blimey that's depressing

BA they did that so that the likes of us lot in VI dont all end up with excellent to worldclass players (thou god knows how you can afford them without going abaout 3 seasons of getting your ys & trainer up to be able to get high enough starting point to get any decent youth pulls.

*MtS sobs quietly in the corner*

How fuggin' frustrating is Hattrick sometimes?  All's looking really promising one moment, and then the next it's Fcuked with a capital F.

The keeper I needed to pop and sell was injured in a friendly with GNH United; so now not only is he injured for another 2 weeks, but he didn't pick up any training either.

So I can't afford a new coach... unless I decide to go into debt.  AAAARGH!  The frustration...

Oh, and the keeper that did pick up the training, who will be next season's No. 1... has just slipped to "inadequate" in form.  Fcuker. And now I'm training stamina, so he's bound to lose even more form.

AAAAAARRRGHHHHHHHHH!!!

*MtS continues to sob, whilst grinding his teeth in frustration*

Don' worry Matt, I'm sure it will all work out in time.

I'm training playmaking at the moment, is there anyway that I can see who's improved? The Hattrick Manager says that nobody has improved.

P.S Getting a little annoyed with the high values of players in Hattrick Manager, they get my hopes up!

How quickly a player "levels up" depends on:

(a) his age
(b) your coach's ability.

So, the optimal is if you have a 17 year old player and a solid coach. In those circumstances, they take about 5 weeks to "level up", I think (if they're playing 1st team football, that is).

As they age a year, and/or as your coach drops down a level in ability, so the player takes longer to level up.

So, for example, I think it's right to say that a 20 yr old player with an inadequate coach would take 10 weeks to level up (for example).

As for whether your midifielders are "low passable" or "high passable" (i.e. how close they are to "popping" up a level), that really just depends on their value... you'll just have to keep monitoring that. So, for example, the keeper I want to sell is a "passable" keeper, yet has a value of £203K. Since I've seen solid keepers worth £203K, I know that he's basically one week away from popping... but the computer is making me wait before he pops. 'Cos the computer's a b@stard.

Hope that helps!
