Help Required

Guys,

I need your help big time seeing as Scriv hasn't responded yet and I'm in a race against the clock.

My football team, Norton FC, is hosting a friendly with our Italian counterparts, Norton FC, and we need a pitch to hire for the game. Seeing as a fair few of us are Southend United fans we thought it'd be a great idea to play at Roots Hall because its not everyday you get to play at the Mecca of football.

I need to get into contact with the club to see whether the pitch would be avaliable to hire on the 15th of May. Now IF we are in the play offs, we'd be away that weekend so I'm hoping it shouldn't be a problem but I need to know who to get into contact with and possibly a email address or phone number.

Any help would be extremely helpful and I'm thanking you in advance.

Sorry mate. There are Southend and District Junior League Cup Finals on this date. If we get in the playoffs they will be moved to the 22nd May. I think the pitch is booked more or less all the time now.

I'm sure if you are desperate you could use the training pitches at Boots & Laces

I know Cupids, Wakering is fully booked up for 15th - most (if not all) council pitches are now down. Two other options I'd try are Wellstead Gardens or Trenders Avenue.

The only problem with this is that it is not the most salubrious of places to play a game of football.

Don't suppose anybody has the contact details for Tiptree United? I played there on monday for a cup final and was a very decent pitch, could always use there.

Welstead Gardens used to be my old home ground. Lovely place, but i thought they had got rid of it ?

I'm pretty sure it's now run by the SE College but they hire it out.

You could try Shoebury boys, they run their own pitches
