My.spacebar.is.pretty.****ed-i'm.a.bit.concerned.as.it's.only.three.weeks.old.-..Anyway.I.think.I.might.as.well.just.clear.my.laptop.incase.there's.a.virus.ripping.it.apart.at.the.seams.now.i.didn't.get.a.vista.disk.with.my.laptop,so.how.can.i.just.wipe.everything.and.make

.it.as.if.i've.just.turned.the.laptop.on.for.the.first.time?.thanks.for.any.help!(btw,system.restore.didn't,work)

Propably a hardware fault. If its only 3 weeks id send it back and get it repaired . Unless your feeling brave . You could try taking the keyboard off and checking the connectors underneath .

Have you tried plugging another keyboard in and using that Martin? It might show that its your spacebar rather then your laptop, if you get me.

My guess it that there is some debris under the space bar preventing it from being fully depressed.
Do you have a USB or ps/2 keyboard to had to check its the keyboard and try turning upside down (switched off naturally) and giving it a tap and a shake (over a table so you can see if anything drops out)

I'm taking my laptop back to 'Staples' today, any tips as to how to get a satisfactory conclusion? ie. how not to be an arsehole.
