I have heard unconfirmed reports that Southend town centre has been cordoned off this evening following some sort of disturbance involving Leeds United fans. I must stress that this is unconfirmed but if true, we could well be in for a sorry weekend. Has anybody else heard or seen anything?

It may have done. Was driving along the seafront today and there was plenty, and i mean about 20-30 leeds fans, having a nice old chant. Not that that indicates trouble but its getting me all the more excited for tommorow

I've just driven along the front from the Kursaal to Leigh and saw nothing. All is quiet.

I saw Leeds play Man U at Old Trafford the season they were relegated from the Premiership and their fans were absolutely awesome. They sang their hearts out for their team and never allowed the players to give up even when they were trailing to a Paul Scholes goal. They drew 1-1 with a terrific header from Alan Smith. They didn't cause any trouble as far as I remember. Let's hope for the same from their fans because the atmosphere will be something else at the Hall tomorrow- with a Southend victory of course!

Dirty leeds bully boy ****ers at it as usual. I am not sure they would be down the Old Kent Road playing up the night before a game but i suppose they are a bunch of bully boy tossers.

I hope we stuff em tomorrow and they go back to their one up two down houses gutted and them probably give their wives a good hiding for good measures.

Woah! Lets not be so quick to condemn! I have a couple of friends who are Leeds fans are they are all nice guys. I was at the man utd vs leeds game along with CM2 Blue and they were a decent enough set of fans. A lot of banter as expected but can't remember there being any trouble! Just remember the game I saw was a massive derby and it was all properly policed so I hope there won't be too much trouble tomorrow!

Thats not a proper derby, thats a pure hatred game. I went the same fixture about 10 years ago & they had people stood in front of the refreshment bars telling people to, & I quote almost word for word, "don't buy anything from here, you're just putting money in these C**ts pockets!"

That said there was a little bit of trouble in the ground, but that was caused by a few Mancs!

Enjoy the game & the atmosphere, it should be superb!
