I agreed with the sub at the time, so it would be hypocritical to criticise it afterwards, but we definately lost a lot of momentum, drive and energy from our midfield when Timlin went off. As others have said though, some of this may be down to Kee coming on as he helped them retain the ball further up the field very well.
I would have expected Clifford to offer similar drive and energy as Timlin though, but it didn't happen. My preference would have been Laird rather because he also keeps possession well and can pick a pass. However, for reasons unknown to me Laird wasn't an option

brown was protecting us against ten men in extra time. He always subs Timlin earlyish anyway. I was fine with this sub.

Yes Timlin needed to be subbed, think he may have got sent off.
We had a great first half, very poor second half. We need to be more consistant .Got what deserved in the end.

yes, I saw that as well . Its a real shame as I honestly think Prosser could have been the difference. he doesn't get bullied and he offers much needed leadership that we lack. I'm not sure who lost Holnes for the first goal , but Prosser tends to mark the most potent aerial threat, and it was clear that Hoilnes would fall into that catergory.

gutted --- still . Not just for the day , and then missing Wembley, and a potential victory, but also for the difference it might have meant on keeping vital players. Still can't believe we are not going

I had said all week I wanted Prosser to start!

The way Burton were dropping to the floor and screaming like stuck pigs every time anyone touched them, the ref looked like he was the kind to show a red card, Tims had to go for his own benefit, had we won the tie he would have been still been available for the final.
He was a key player and another victim of Burtons "spoiling" tactics.
I agree it was wise to get him off after being carded and warned twice but it was'nt a booking if you watch it 2 or 3 times. He took the ball cleanly with the outside of his right foot when it was a couple of feet off the deck and 3 foot away from the Burton player who was also challenging.

Mr brown

Its water under the bridge know.
The Question will Mr Brown stay next season for shore he would of done if we went up im not so sure know, someone might come in for him he will go i recon.
I think hes done a good job with no money to spend. The same old problem that will never go away.:omg:
