Whilst he made 39 league appearances last year, 27 of them were off the bench. He's been a fringe player for a while, the promise of starting matches probably appealed to him.

My pal is a Charlton season ticket holder and said he’s never really looked good enough, runs around a lot but doesn’t do much. League two is probably his level!? He’s just never really settled anywhere, in hindsight he should probably have stayed at Swindon where he was doing well… still I’m sure he’s not too fussed, decent career.
 
Started for the Franchise in their 0-5 defeat at Stockport this evening. Opening goal went through his legs,yellow-carded for his 2nd horror tackle,substituted soon after h-t .
