Both played for Sutton Utd yesterday vs Concord Rangers at the Aspect Arena.

Scannell, who recently left Eastleigh, citing lack of guaranteed 1st team football, started on the right midfield. The one time terroriser of the Leeds Utd defence was subbed at half time due to injury.

Stuart, used all his experience to keep together a tight Sutton back four and had a fairly decent game.

Concord got a worthy point against one of the full time professional outfits in the Conference South, the game finishing 0-0.

And that's been the problem with him the whole time, one of the worst sick notes around.

I've never heard Scannell described by his manager as "if he broke an eyelash he would need three weeks out injured " as Phillips was.

I was at Concord yesterday,Stuart had a decent game,he must be well into his 30s now.Scannell didnt really do a lot at all, took a knock and was subbed at half time.Paul Telfer played a right back for Sutton. He lasted whole game not bad for a man of 42!

Damien Scannell still with Sutton Utd but on the bench today. Can't get a start for a Blue Square South team! He has been a real disappointment.

Seems like his career is really going downhill. In patches he looked very good when with us.Dont think he is the most professional in way he conducts himself
