Think O'neill has been bought in as long term replacement for white, whilst offering cover in a number of positions. Sure PB must have discussed what role O,Neil has to play otherwise why would he relocate from a northern champ team down to us. If white gets suspended or injured it will be down to O'neill to keep the shirt.

John white is a good defender who often slices the ball off the pitch while trying to knock it long down the line....occasionally puts a cross in...I would swap him for a RB mote comfortable on the ball especially if defensive quality still high.

O'Neill came on for the last 5 mins today and played at RM and he looked very comfortable. Strong and direct, he could easily slot in there full time. That said, I think he is the long term replacement for White

Totally agree. He looked class in the few mins he was on.
