According to Burnley's Twitter account.

@BurnleyOfficial: BREAKING: Luke O'Neill joins @SUFCRootsHall on an emergency loan.

And strange that it's an emergency loan for someone we have been looking at for a while!

Great signing that and adds some much needed depth.

Probably an emergency loan so that he's registered to be able to play this weekend while the details of a longer deal are sorted out.

Happy with this, but a bit of an odd one.

John White is NOT a centre back. He can fill in during a game, but if he was starting a game at centre back I'd be extremely worried.

I'd rather have seen an out and out centre back arrive to be honest.

The other thing is, Brown said they have already sorted out the team and whoever it is will be on the bench, so he wont start anyway.

It will be Barrett/Prosser so he has the option to move White over and bring on O'Neill if need be.

Bolger aside its a good signing as we are lacking fullback cover and he provides that.

My abiding memory of him is pinging across a sublime ball and then promptly being injured?

Not happy with the suggestions that John White partners AB as centre halfs, while they are both good readers of the game, neither are the quickest/ mobile

Let's hope he lasts a bit longer than he did last time! Liked the look of him in what little we saw.
