"If the rumours that are circulating are true, then bringing Maher back would cause more of a rift than a solution to a problem. If the alleged incident is true, then it must've been a serious incident and Maher must've been at fault for Maher to be barred from the club and Moussa escape with seemingly no punishment."

whats it all about then ?

Nobody knows (or is prepared to comment for definite)
Training ground bust-up is all that keeps being alluded to, the 6 week ban is a new piece of info that's surfaced since last night.

all i've heard is that there was a bust up between moose and maher. my friend is good mates with the moose and says he wouldn't hurt a fly. no idea what he could do to have caused maher to go ape-sh*t (no pun intended!!) but i think it's shocking that our club captain can allegedly get banned after a bust-up with an 18yo lad

oh dear - doesn't sound good -

I thought there was always going to be a problem with Maher playing with Macca and/or Bailey cos Maher is so used to bossing our midfiled the way he wants it rather than the way Baily and Macca do it - a genuine question of leadership on the pitch -

I guess egos and all that might have meant Maher is not a positive force around the place and might be underrmining what Tilly and co are building towards .....

sure its a mans world but handing out slaps on the training pitch is not going to help anyone and might be intimidating for the young players and no-ones bigger than the club ..... and any player should be able to handle not being selected and should just focus on being ready to anything neceessary (being sub etc.) to help the club -

what a shame tho..... very little good comes out of things like this

Talking about leadership, my preference would be give the arm band to Bailey, even though I know that AB would walk through walls for SUFC. At the moment Bailey is always top of the list on the team sheet for me, whereas I'm not totally convinced about any of the others.

Oh well - if we're looking to free up some cash sounds like a sackable offence.
