Martin Ling

Resigned apparently, due to ill health...again. Poor bloke.

It appears that the Black Dog has returned, I would guess that's the last we will see of him in managerial terms, just shows how stressful football management can be even when you are winning...

GWS Lingy

Terrible shame. Respect to Swindon for allowing him to revive his career. We do not know the reason, for sure, as to why he has left but I wish him all the best whatever.

This. Hope to see Martin Ling back in football at some point ........... all the best to him - I can still see rising like a salmon to head the goal against Wolves back in the 4th division. Fabtastic.

Great article that and a partial insight into the horror that anxiety and depression is.

Best wishes to him.

I too suffer from depression and anxiety and take medication and have psychotherapy. I cannot imagine how much worse Martin's condition was/is to go through ECT. Hope it is now largely behind him.

Has been appointed Director of Football at Orient by the new owners. Hope he has conquered his demons - good luck Martin!
