Carruthers played five games for Cambridge after joining in January
Lincoln City striker Martin Carruthers has decided against extending
his loan with Cambridge United.

The 32-year-old had a month-long loan spell at the Abbey Stadium
which ended with Saturday's win over Oxford United.

After discussions with U's management team Steve Thompson and Rob
Newman he opted not to commit to another month with the struggling
League Two outfit.

Cambridge bolstered their strikeforce this week by signing veteran
striker Iwan Roberts on loan from Gillingham.
