In fairness the football league may have voted for the new provider becasue they are cheaper? , With that in mind if this is costing SUFC less money then I am all far it.

Why cant the club just tell em to 'do one' and do it themselves?

Because of the contract everyone signed up to back in the ITV Digital/NTL days. We'd essentially have to pay back all the revenue we have made since then to void the deal. Basically, a lot!

Only way you can exit the deal otherwise is to get relegated out of the Football League. I am sure we don't want that do we?

WHEN WILL IT HAPPEN?
A planning application for the new stadium and associated leisure, fitness, hotel, retail and other facilities has been submitted to Southend Council by Southend United FC. It is anticipated that the Council will consider the planning application in Autumn 2000, with construction work starting in 2001 if planning permission is granted. The new stadium would be ready at the start of the 2003/4 season. At present, there are no plans for the development of Roots Hall.

All I get when I try to access the new site is a view of the south stand and the flats behind it and ...er... that's it. Not an unpleasant view but I had hoped there might be more on there than that

Same here.

It's a lovely picture of the South Stand, but I'm not sure I'll be renewing my Bluesworld subscription if I can't access any of the content.

For the purposes of troubleshooting it, I'm using internet explorer and work won't let me upgrade it.
