The Pennsylvania is very well known as being a huge, cheap but grubby hotel. Incredible location but yeah I'd have advised against that place had I realised. What was the High Line like?
Glad you enjoyed the rest of your trip anyway. It's been a couple of years since I've got to spend any amount of time in NYC but its an incredible town. I'd like to get over there for a giants game maybe at the end of the year.
