Since Luke Daniels left,we have not had a goalie in the 5 subs. But Bilel has been on the bench for the last 2 matches.

Am I right in thinking that PS considers Mohsni to be our sub-keeper as well as covering most of the outfield positions?

No, Daniel Bentley is injured at the moment. The fact Mohsni can play GK is just a happy coincidence.

I dunno but this worries me too, especially after Morris dislocated his finger at home to Port Vale. I have an idea that Bentley is injured currently, perhaps someone can confirm this. I do feel though that a goalkeeper is now more important than the seemingly endless number of strikers we have. It has already been proven that even when fit Bentley is not ready because we got an emergency keeper in immediately after the Morris thigh injury at home to Torquay. We are playing a very risky game though i feel.

We made the decision not to have two senior keepers, I dont see the point of wasting salary on someone to sit on the bench "just in case"

I agree with the original poster - I think Mohsni is our sub keeper. I'd rather have the 5 options on the bench yesterday than have Bentley ready for a one-off.

I think it is an unnecessary risk; Morris' injury record this season has not been good and there's always a chance of an over-enthusiatic ref showing a red card. (And if you put Mohsni in goal, who's going to come on and win the game for us?)

Four outfield subs is quite enough; defender, midfield, forward and Mohsni.

Ok, well, he WAS injured last week then! :raspberry:

He's had a niggling back problem. He saw a specialist last week and has declared him fit. For the moment at least. We've seen with Barry Corr just how bad a back problem can be.

Id have Bentley on there, as Bilel can play a number of positions as can Kane so not sure Grant is needed at the mo.

Are you saying that the amount of strikers we now have is not a waste of salary when they are on the bench? After all, not all of em can be playing or on the bench!

Shame it's not 7 subs still in the league - only problem with sub keeper Is he may only be used once a season!!! With a larger and stronger squad than were used to, it will be hard telling quality players that they can't even make the bench!

After yesterday it wouldn't surprise me if if he came on as goalie and popped a couple in a la Tim Howard..... :hilarious:

I agree, we should have a sub keeper on the bench. Personally I'd rather see a bigger keeper in the first team, someone in the mold of Steve Mildenhall. Glenn Morris was never the tallest keeper, when he played in junior football :winking:
