Today sees 1st against me 5th in my OD. I could give my opps a run for their money but they are also in my FC division and we have agreed that I will field a weaker team today while he does the same in our FC. We've also agreed not to blame each other should the strategy backfire. I will find out next week as I play my only other opp for the FC title. All of my players are currently at sublime. I'm on normal with four key first teamers rested. Could do with not getting tonked but with 2 bots in my OD IV I will finish anywhere between 4th and 6th

BATTY SHRIMPERS v ends of the earth

2 of the 3 100% records in our division go head to head, as we (2nd) take on the 3rd placed side. Only have the 2 A/R at Energetic, so they will bat down the order, but apart from that we'rew at full-strength on a GFI.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

DIBS DIPPERS v Halley Kinree

Mrs BB puts her 100% record in all competitons on the line today against the side in 6th spot. She has 3 of her bowlers at Energetic, everyone else at Sublime. She's at full-strength on a GFI.

ShrimperZone CC v Drop Catch

Back from Cape Verde where my BB wasn't getting any internet coverage but pleased to see there were no disasters, though we nearly shonked up the FC game! Expected defeat to Gatley, scraped through in the Cup (5 run win after they took apart my reserve bowlers!) and then 3 wins in BT20.

Fitness much better than the picture Kev had painted for me after the BT20 revisions, only Cunningham at invigorated. Not going GFI though as want to win my cup game on Sunday so this one could go either way.

Only one breakthrough from Diggers and Barrowdale so we're going to have a big total to chase in bowling conditions, especially if Benji's first couple of overs are anything to go by.

End of Over 14: 66-1, runrate=4.71
Benjamin 2-0-17-0
Symes* 17 (36 balls)
Ireland 35 (35 balls)

Last Wicket: Sturgess c. Benjamin b. Digana 14 (FOW: 22/1)

Could have done without losing Evelyn, and not having Lindop in by now. PC+H / Cracked, so anything over 200 will be competetive.

BATTY SHRIMPERS v ends of the earth

ends of the earth won the toss and elected to field.
Pitch: Cracked

End of Over 18: 76-3, runrate=4.22
Schoorman 4-0-13-1
Downing* 14 (21 balls)
Lindop 2 (9 balls)

Last Wicket: Evelyn c. Phahamo b. Schoorman 37 (FOW: 72/3)

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

No breakthroughs for Mrs BB, but she now has her 3 spinners bowling between now and over 40.

DIBS DIPPERS v Halley Kinree

DIBS DIPPERS won the toss and elected to field.
Pitch: Dusty

End of Over 18: 76-0, runrate=4.22
Kealey 4-0-16-0
Petty* 40 (44 balls)
Bignot 33 (65 balls)

Benji snaffles the opener at the end of his first spell. He was rattling along so hopefully this will put the brakes on now.

End of Over 20: 92-2, runrate=4.60
Benjamin 5-0-33-1
Malcolm* 1 (2 balls)
Symes 26 (48 balls)

Last Wicket: Ireland c. Digana b. Benjamin 50 (FOW: 91/2)

Strange goings on in the new ME in my game. After 20 overs we were 136-0, then one of their weakest bowlers came on and bowled 10 straight overs returning figures of 1-38.

We ended slowly staggering to this:

End of Over 50: 266-2, runrate=5.32
Motterham 10-0-67-0
Raisani* 58 (83 balls)
Davenport 56 (62 balls)
Last Wicket: Dowe st. Riddell b. Kumar 64 (FOW: 168/2)

The last 10 rejig doesn't really work. We scored just 58 and lost no wickets.

Don't think we've got enough, but another couple of wickets in the next 10 overs could make it interesting....

BATTY SHRIMPERS v ends of the earth

ends of the earth won the toss and elected to field.
Pitch: Cracked

End of Over 13: 33-2, runrate=2.54, reqrunrate=3.00 (143-10)
Singh 7-0-17-2
Batty* 12 (12 balls)
Beaumont 0 (0 balls)

Last Wicket: Campbell b. Singh 14 (FOW: 33/2)

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Good performance with the ball by Mrs BB, but she's lost a couple early doors in reply...

Poole 2-1-9-0
Tyson* 10 (14 balls)
Potter 2 (3 balls)

Last Wicket: Stride c. Maymann b. Islahuddin 4 (FOW: 6/2)

End of Over 50: 201-3, runrate=4.02
Marriner 10-0-40-1
Deane* 4 (3 balls)
Browne 1 (3 balls)

Last Wicket: Sookram b. Marriner 81 (FOW: 196/3)

50 runs off the last 10 overs!!

that 200,000 BTR batsman they had -got him for a duck. they're now 39-4. I got 244. They're supposed to be 2nd, they aint ****.

Game on perhaps?? At the same stage we were 100/5....

BATTY SHRIMPERS v ends of the earth

ends of the earth won the toss and elected to field.
Pitch: Cracked

End of Over 24: 72-4, runrate=3.00, reqrunrate=2.77 (143-10)

Phahamo* 0 (0 balls)
Sangha 2 (5 balls)

Last Wicket: Beaumont c. Evelyn b. Begg 21 (FOW: 69/4)

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Mrs BB going very well after her early scare...

DIBS DIPPERS v Halley Kinree

DIBS DIPPERS won the toss and elected to field.
Pitch: Dusty

End of Over 15: 90-2, runrate=6.00, reqrunrate=2.77 (186-3)
Islahuddin 8-0-49-2
Potter* 39 (43 balls)
Tyson 44 (40 balls)

Last Wicket: Stride c. Maymann b. Islahuddin 4 (FOW: 6/2)

Like Kev, the last 10 overs reaped a lot less runs than expected but this time it went in my favour. Sini departs but 62 off 52 balls is enough to keep us ahead of the run rate so looking good at the moment.

End of Over 17: 94-1, runrate=5.53, reqrunrate=4.36 (237-3)
Acton 2-0-14-0
Cunningham* 28 (46 balls)
Lamey 4 (3 balls)

Last Wicket: Sinethemba Run Out 62 (FOW: 90/1)

really weird game.... we're either getting 10+ runs an over or 0-2.... started really well but slowed down now by their 2 very, very good spinners.

End of Over 22: 116-2, runrate=5.27, reqrunrate=3.75 (220-5)
Changa 1-0-2-0
Odonague* 26 (42 balls)
Horsfield 2 (17 balls)

Last Wicket: Sookram b. Morgan 69 (FOW: 101/2)

End of Over 23: 97-2, runrate=4.22, reqrunrate=4.48 (217-3)
Cahill 2-0-6-0
Byron* 36 (59 balls)
Stonebridge 40 (55 balls)
Last Wicket: Greenacre lbw b. Lake 19 (FOW: 25/2)

not much of a contest then

And that's the end of the match. Napster's XI won by 180 runs.
Napster's XI 244-2
Chelston All Stars 64-10

Getting interesting, 1 more wicket and we're into the tail.
