Have a guess....
ends of the earth v BATTY SHRIMPERS

Probably one of the tougher games I'll have in OD this season. He finished 3rd last season, against my 4th. The games were split between us last year, so could go either way. We're at full-strength on a GFI as we have a straightforward game in the Cup.

We can tell you that BATTY SHRIMPERS won the toss and elected to field. The pitch is looking a touch on the green side. All the seam bowlers have been out there rubbing their hands on this sunny day.

End of Over 1: 4-0, runrate=4.00
Tandy 1-0-4-0
Campbell* 3 (4 balls)
Graddon 1 (2 balls)

Bob's Buffoons v DIBS DIPPERS

Game against another promoted side for Mrs BB, although they met in the Cup semi-final last season, when Mrs BB was probably a tad unlucky to lose by virtue of losing more wickets when the scores were tied. Full strength side out on GFI for Mrs BB , with Hodges playing his last game for the club.

We can tell you that DIBS DIPPERS won the toss and elected to field. The pitch is looking like a road. As flat as a pancake. No help for the bowlers on this partially cloudy and windy day.

End of Over 1: 4-0, runrate=4.00
Eagles 1-0-4-0
Cable* 3 (5 balls)
Branson 1 (1 balls)

Purple Dinosaurs v ShrimperZone CC

3rd v 4th from last season. On paper we look the better team and we've beaten them all 4 times we've played them but we've had a shocker at the start.

End of Over 3: 13-2, runrate=4.33
Pearce 2-0-12-2
Sinethemba* 13 (13 balls)
Mcleod 0 (1 balls)

Last Wicket: Lamey c. Mccammon b. Pearce 0 (FOW: 13/2)

2nd Chance v Southend United

5th Vs. 6th, it's 3-3 in previous meetings and have got off to an ok start

End of Over 13: 67-1, runrate=5.15
Basson 7-0-34-1
Marcel* 31 (42 balls)
Wright 14 (11 balls)
Last Wicket: Joost lbw b. Basson 21 (FOW: 45/1)

Steadied things off and ticking along at a decent rate.

End of Over 16: 86-3, runrate=5.38
Baxter 3-0-15-0
Wanless* 27 (26 balls)
Sinethemba 50 (52 balls)

Last Wicket: Mcleod c. Mccammon b. Pearce 7 (FOW: 27/3)

End of Over 22: 116-2, runrate=5.27
Dowie 6-0-22-2
Sookram* 55 (62 balls)
Browne 33 (33 balls)

Last Wicket: Deane st. Oconnor b. Dowie 7 (FOW: 44/2)

Nice partnership building from these 2! Flat wicket but partially cloudy and windy in Bedfordshire.

This lot got relegated last season but were fortunate to be in Level II IMO!

Keeping it fairly tight in Green / Sunny conditions.

Beaumont* 23 (41 balls)
Batty 50 (81 balls)

Last Wicket: Graddon b. Tandy 16 (FOW: 36/2)

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------

Mrs BB's oppo raced to 60/0 off 10, but 3 quick wickets have pulled it back a bit.

Bob's Buffoons v DIBS DIPPERS

DIBS DIPPERS won the toss and elected to field.
Pitch: Flat

End of Over 28: 148-3, runrate=5.29
Mohammed 4-0-20-0

Sookram* 70 (90 balls)
Browne 51 (53 balls)

Last Wicket: Deane st. Oconnor b. Dowie 7 (FOW: 44/2

Was at 6RPO after 15, but pleased with this so far especially as not GFI'ing!

Away at last seasons 3rd place And going along nicely at 5 an over with one wicket down. This is a much tougher division than last season so my objective of retaining 4th minimum is not going to be easy with all of the 4 promoted teams looking strong. In fact of 8 teams only the one relegated is weak ao this is looking good so far. Anything over 240 should be enough with my bowlers

Old engine - 270/280. New engine - God knows.

End of Over 42: 201-3, runrate=4.79
Deane 6-0-23-0
Raven* 10 (17 balls)
Sookram 91 (128 balls)

Last Wicket: Browne st. Oconnor b. Devonish 70 (FOW: 183/3)

Haven't we got a new "New Engine" ?

Anyway, Old or New Engine we should chase this down.

ends of the earth v BATTY SHRIMPERS

Good performance on Flat pitch by Mrs BB bowlers.

Bob's Buffoons v DIBS DIPPERS

DIBS DIPPERS won the toss and elected to field.
Pitch: Flat

End of Over 48: 247-10, runrate=5.15
Eagles 8-0-55-1
Beckham* 28 (26 balls)

End of Over 50: 228-2, runrate=4.56

It's partially cloudy and a green pitch, but I wanted more runs than that.

May have to fiddle with my batting order as 61 off 126 balls isn't really on from my trainee opener.

Don't think that's far off of par. I work on 250 for Green / Sunny and 200ish Green / PC+H, so Green / PC 230 or thereabouts

End of Over 50: 184-2, runrate=3.68
Raipur 10-0-49-0
Prasad* 26 (59 balls)
Barnard 35 (35 balls)
Last Wicket: Brush c. Chill b. Blaney 67 (FOW: 126/2)

Same conditions as in YB's game. Think we've done well to restrict them.

End of Over 50: 252-3, runrate=5.04
Deane 10-0-43-0
Sookram* 117 (151 balls)
Raven 35 (42 balls)

Last Wicket: Browne st. Oconnor b. Devonish 70 (FOW: 183/3)

Good score, but could have been so much more!

Yeah, I reckon about 235 would probably be par, but don't fancy my chances of defending a slightly below par score, particularly having lost my fc game.

Another season of struggle beckons.

End of Over 14: 65-3, runrate=4.64, reqrunrate=5.22 (252-3)
Waters 2-0-14-0

Guinan 2-0-12-0
Jefferson* 52 (48 balls)
Perry 28 (37 balls)

The 6th wicket is proving tricky but one more and into the tail. Lose this and i'll be sick as a pig!

End of Over 33: 141-5, runrate=4.27, reqrunrate=6.59 (252-3)
