BGS XI v ShrimperZone CC

A decent outfit but we have the edge on BTR and also our bowlers are fighting fit. Bit of a reshuffle in the batting order as Sini, Chandra and Charlie are all tired after their epic batting efforts yesterday so Alvardo went to open - and failed dismally. Flat pitch so need a big total.

End of Over 7: 34-1, runrate=4.86
Goldbourne 4-0-17-1
Lamey* 16 (22 balls)
Cunningham 17 (13 balls)

Last Wicket: Alvardo c. Dawson b. Goldbourne 1 (FOW: 4/1)

BATTY SHRIMPERS (7th) v Park Avenue CC (5th)

Bouyed by winning our FC game inside 2 days, we look to follow that up by making it back-to-back wins in OD. Full-strength side out as we don't have the cup to worry about. We definitely have the edge in PFL, so I'd be disappointed not to win this one.

We can tell you that BATTY SHRIMPERS won the toss and elected to field. The pitch is looking a bit on the dry side. A fair bit of help for the spinners I think on this partially cloudy day.

End of Over 25: 85-0, runrate=3.40
Andre 6-2-15-0
Teggart* 39 (76 balls)
West 46 (74 balls)

DIBS DIPPERS (2nd) v Forza Juve (6th)

Mrs BB lost her 100% record yesterday as she failed to bowl her oppo out quickly enough to be able to chase down in the 4th innings. She should win today, but her oppo is fighting back after slumping to 21/4.

We can tell you that DIBS DIPPERS won the toss and elected to field. The pitch is looking quite cracked! A field day for the seam bowlers I would reckon on this partially cloudy day.

End of Over 25: 123-5, runrate=4.92
Rogan 6-0-24-0
van Schalkwyk * 55 (53 balls)
Bhutia 1 (2 balls)

Last Wicket: Young lbw b. Kealey 52 (FOW: 118/5)

Southend United (7th) v 2nd Chance (5th)

We can tell you that Southend United won the toss and elected to bat. The pitch is looking quite cracked! A field day for the seam bowlers I would reckon on this partially cloudy day.

End of Over 32: 137-2, runrate=4.28
Murphy 4-0-17-1
Joost* 1 (1 balls)
Ray 58 (90 balls)
Last Wicket: Wright c. Byron b. Murphy 56 (FOW: 134/2)

Hopefuly we can get up to 290-300.

End of Over 40: 217-2, runrate=5.43
Lucas 10-0-48-0
Guneratne* 78 (92 balls)
Lamey 103 (116 balls)

Last Wicket: Cunningham lbw b. Goldbourne 31 (FOW: 53/2)

playing the team on top, but they're one of 6 sides (including us) on 8 points so it doesn't mean much. Have had to put out a taped-up bowling attack as i've got several guys down to fresh. not taking wickets but the decent bowlers have been economical; i'd hope we'll be able to beat their likely total on an H + F pitch.

End of Over 42: 189-2, runrate=4.50
Howard 6-0-15-0
Tonderai* 74 (126 balls)
Groves 1 (4 balls)
Last Wicket: Dowe c. Odonague b. Harmison 36 (FOW: 186/2)

Should be able to defend this score.

The players are off the field for the break between innings.

End of Over 50: 221-5, runrate=4.42
Murphy 10-0-38-1
Gichki* 2 (6 balls)
Hulse 14 (21 balls)
Last Wicket: Joost c. Lund b. Pine 44 (FOW: 217/5)

Chasing 213 for victory. Lost Polly early doors, but we should win with something to spare.

BATTY SHRIMPERS v Park Avenue CC

BATTY SHRIMPERS won the toss and elected to field.
Pitch: Dusty

End of Over 6: 16-1, runrate=2.67, reqrunrate=4.48 (212-2)
Sinclair 3-0-6-1
Nagendranath* 2 (2 balls)
Evelyn 7 (15 balls)

Last Wicket: Pollock b. Sinclair 7 (FOW: 13/1)

----------------------------------------------------------------------

Tough chase for Mrs BB, but she's made a reasonable start.

DIBS DIPPERS v Forza Juve

DIBS DIPPERS won the toss and elected to field.
Pitch: Cracked

End of Over 6: 26-0, runrate=4.33, reqrunrate=5.39 (262-5)
Lever 3-0-16-0
Titterton* 13 (16 balls)
Zubair 13 (20 balls)

dissapointed that we let them get 250, but solid start in response.

End of Over 7: 35-0, runrate=5.00, reqrunrate=5.07 (252-2)
Strydom 4-0-17-0
Paster* 14 (18 balls)
Horsfield 19 (24 balls)

They're keeping up with the rate comfortably, my total isn't looking enough on a flat pitch.

End of Over 16: 90-1, runrate=5.63, reqrunrate=5.68 (282-4)
Charl 3-0-20-0
Bruce* 57 (48 balls)
Woolf 21 (27 balls)

Last Wicket: Bainbridge b. Gulzar 10 (FOW: 32/1)

Phew, a 3 run win and we're up to 2nd where I hope we'll stay now.
