Obviously training to be a traffic warden totally ruined the game (Jenny Bond, the newsreader lookalike for reference) Anyone else get 3 written warnings from her last night. Totally ruined the game as I dare pull my face covering down an inch to de mist the glasses, there she was signalling to pull it back up. She must have been on a sponsored walk the miles she covered up and down looking for a slight slip that allowed you to breathe, talk about jobs worth. I’m in an open air stadium and can’t see the fantastic action through steamed up eyewear, could have used the asthma card as don’t really need to have a face covering but let her have her night of authority.....great team performance except from her and Acquah.

perhaps the same one that moaned at me for standing up on the back row of a 90% empty south stand last season because I was 'violating health and safety regulations'

I’m sure we are on a year long wind up......wonder if people will be hugging the orange jacketed granny for the five days of Boris’s relaxation period?

Take a bottle of water and you can remove your face covering to sip it. I finished mine in the first half, but still took "sips" from it to help clear the mist from my glasses

....good call but ‘Jenny’ would have that seized and checked for alcohol content !

Amazing how long you can make a takeaway cup of coffee last too!

There are clearly two different types of stewards - the ones in the West were more bothered about sanitising the ball and putting it in the designated place than bother about the many people near to us who had their noses outside of their masks throughout the match.

....oh and the classic that she came out with was , I have to be strict because of “ CAMERA’S “.......oh yeah they would be focusing one inch beneath me hooter rather than on Acquah leaping like a salmon on the pitch!
Knowing the latter is impossible, I'm all for inspecting your errant mask! :Winking2:

Am I right in thinking you can get masks that don't fog up your bins?
Maybe, when we resume Tier2 in Jan, (he hopes) Ms Steward and fans can have the best of both worlds.
You don't want to miss Emile scoring another winner, eh?

Put a tiny dab of washing up liquid on your glasses and wipe it over them before you go out. The residue it leaves behind will break up the water droplets and stop your glasses steaming up.

I have to wear goggles when I ride my bike. Without doing that, it steams up enough to completely blind me. If I dab a little washing up liquid on them once a week, there's no problem.

Worked the same for me this summer with sunglasses and a mask.

Hubby reckons he's tried this and it doesn't work, just leaves your glasses with greasy smears?

Perhaps he used a drop too much? I've done it that way and also with the defogit bottle I have for the car. Both have worked for me.

We're not had any trouble or interference with our personal liberties in the West Stand and the only time our masks came off was for coffee flask time. I've got a very simplistic view on the stewards at Southend Utd, they do a difficult job at times and mostly do it very well. Without them we wouldn't have been able to watch the two games that we did. As to starting a complete thread about one, well each to their own I suppose.
