I am suprised 34 chairman went for it. You would like to think they made informed decisions. Just shows the strength of feeling towards it though.

Some would only be thinking about the financial benefits, without really looking into the health risks.
It's also widely known that there is a lot more jarring on knees and ankles on artificial pitches, so many careers would end earlier.

Most lower league clubs are dying on their feet, you can hardly blame them for explroing differant possibilities.

If for example we got a plastic pitch would it allow us to sell boots and laces as they can train at the ground. Or is it not that simple ?

When I first saw the title of this thread I thought about linking in to the youtube NTNON clip with Pamela Stevenson but thought I might get told off.
As far as plastic pitches go, a big no from me. Plastic pitches a la QPR and Luton (70's style) were awful and 3G that I've played on doesn't have the right feel for me.

Did you read my post earlier, the players could be dying on their feet. Also the clubs could be held to blame, whether it's their fault or not. If someone or some family wins their case, the floodgates will open.

I completely disagree with plastic pitches. I played regularly on them for one season and have had shin splints for the last 4 years now!!!
