Just as a matter of interest, look at these consecutive scores from the Player's Scores Table, and tell me how much chance would have to be involved for this sequence to happen? I can't believe that anyone can score 450,000+ with the balls coming from the right, and I don't believe that sequence is chance.

EDIT: Get whacking them in in 9 minutes. Next round starts at 1005AM today, finishes at 12noon today too.

Scoring nearly 5 Million points in two hours on a Friday morning is impressive, but not as impressive as some of these Jonny Foreigners are scoring, sadly.

I will try and post some stats from the League and Cup over the weekend.

One stat I noticed from the First Round - Darlington went out by 4625 points out of 44 Million. Just a couple of goals would have made the difference. Frankly, I would much rather lose by 5 Million.

Yep not a bad effort, but as you have pointed out already I'm not sure all those scores are actually all above board, especially the German's.

FC Koeln are scoring over 100 goals a minute!!!!! (could be a bit less than that how much can you gamble when you score 200,000+?).

About two thirds, I think, if you take the highest option, so your talking 200,000/3= 66666.67...

I have wondered if there is a third penalty option at any point, but as I have never scored over 200,000, nor ever will I suspect, it must remain a matter of conjecture. My feeling is that there isn't, because I would have expected any third pen to kick in at 100K.

I was wondering about these High Scores, and I think that tactically, if you are pretty sure of getting the 60K pen every time, then the most efficient rate of scoring would be to score 61K every go, lose your last balls, score the penalty and start again. That way every goal you score is worth (roughly) {101,000 (points scored including 40K penalty bonus) /14 (goals to reach 61K allowing for points scored for bar/saves)} = 7,200 points per goal.

If you go on to score say 23 goals/100K points, plus your 40K pen bonus then {140,000/23 = 6,100 approx} so the points per goal fall by 1,100, which is less efficient.

OK Maths students, does that make sense?
