if we now add the number of games that an ex-player has managed the club , is King Kev our most loyal servant of all time ? or does Tilly still edge it ?

It helps when you can respawn twice.

Quite impressive how many appearances Pennyfather chalked up, considering he went to Palace at a tender age.

Tilson - number of appearances - 228; games managed - 358
Total - 586

Maher - number of appearances - 455; games managed - 114
Total - 569

Clark - number of appearances - 342; games managed - ? 50?
Total - 392

Good stats @Napster

Re Alan Moody, if you add in his two apps when he came on as sub that makes 506 per the Mason/Goody history book from 1992 and then I'm sure that later it was found that there was another app made to bring the total up to 507.

I assume your list from a quick spot-check excludes apps as a sub? Including apps when coming on as sub might well make one or two more sneak in to the 250-plus list?

And in case anyone is interested, of the 28 players in your list who have made 250 apps plus, 16 are still alive and 15 of them are in SUEPA (the missing one being JD as he does not qualify as yet).

I did a copy of a list which used SUFCDB as a source so assumed it was legit
