aahhhhhhhh.....thats better.

*takes a breath*

Done my nuts tonight on the bloody online poker. Spent 2 and a half hours in a tourny, finished 15th winning $18.69 added to that the other 50 odd dollers id won just before the tourny and then I go and bleedin lose it all! SO FRUSTRATING!

It always seems that the stupid players who call anything without looking at what I might have always end up winning. WHY!?! I put my nuts on the fact that if I played the same as they do i'd end up homeless without a pot to sh!te in.

Right, entering another tourny. If I dont come 1st out of 286 its a fix!

If the amount of money you could lose dosent hurt, then people will call all the time.. If you have to play 2.5 hours to win £10 quid its a fairly safe bet people will start getting bored..

It paid up to 30th place which won something like $12. 1st place won something like $675.

Spot on - that's what's always struck me as a big weakness with online poker.

Perhaps they should display the total bank balance of individual players (rather than what they've decided to bring to the table) and prevent auto top-ups mid game.

Surely then people would just go elsewhere.

If you play the sensible game on low stakes, you'll almost always win. Call your good hands and fold your crap ones.

I'm doing ok with $2 and $5 24 seat turbo games on Ladbrokes. Games don't take more than half an hour.

I know I shouldn't scoff too much at online poker as it helps to pay my wages (ahem, cheers Mr B), but I can't help but think that there's far better ways to spend your time than playing cards against other people online.

Now, when does the darts start....?

James, can't believe you left before Barney was on, he was superb.

Thanks for the invite down the front BTW but we'd run out of beer and it was bloody hotter down there than up the back.

Yeah, bad call by me and my mate leaving when we did, still didn't get home until almost midnight though. Hope you had a good time - it was bloody boiling in there wasn't it

I'm not a big darts fan or anything but were you there when Taylor spat his dummy out yesterday? I saw him have a tantrum on SSN last night - "I won't put up with this filth!"

Just seen it this morning, had to laugh. Looks like Mason called Taylor a 'c**t' and then in the studio, Taylor said he wasn't going to put up with that 'b***ocks'.

All good fun

I can heartily recommend a day at the darts, I've gone at least once every year since 2000. Leeboy, McScriv and plenty other SZers will back me up as well, it's a top day.

Yeah definately I've been about three times now and its a excellent laugh.

I'm not into my darts really but appreciate the finally trained sportsman that take part.

That and the fact that you and a group of mates sit in what is basically a large boozer getting sloshed from 11.30am until midnight, eating pie's and chips and generally being rowdy, singing and dancing about on the TV makes for a good day out.

Pretty much in the same boat myself.

Only really ever done it when I've been bored.

James, were you down at the Circus on the 27th in the Ladbrokes comps? Only I was supposed to be there too, but I had the flu. Bugger.

Certainly was mate. Sitting at our table about three seats from the stage. What a shame you couldn't make it, cracking action all day.

Yeah, I'd have been there with you. The guy I sit next to at Orient works for Propel London, so he'd managed to get hold of a couple of Laddies comps. f%cksticks.
