My take on it is this: Hung Parliament.

The country will be run by a Labour/Conservative coalition. This will remain in place for a year before we go to another General ELection.

Why Lab/Con. This keeps the 3rd party out, NO to electoral reform, and the spectre of the two major parties never being in power again due to an introduction of Proportional Representation.

If the GE 1 year hence still doesn't see a party with a majority, we will continue with GE's until we get one.

There's not much left to **** up after the last 13 years....

I didn't hear many complaints when house prices were rocketing and people were cashing in on their equity to fund lifestyle purchases or buy to let properties.

Obviously these people played no part in the global recession and it is entirely the fault of Gordon Brown.

Latest Poll in the Times as follows -

Con - 36% (+4 from previous week)
L/D - 28% (-3)
Lab - 27% (-1)

Assuming a Uniform Poll across the country this will give the following -

Conservative 292
Labour 246
L/D 83
Others 29

Conservative 34 short of an overall majority.
