Computers are all well and good.. But if you let go of one and your foot is below it, then then you will want Newtons advice on what will happen next..
To be honest Newton did not invent Gravity, he just decided to comment on it, I am sure us humans generally are quite happy to know it exists without needing to know anymore about it.
Will therefore go for the man who's contribution means that access to 'adult material' is no longer confined to awkward visits to the local corner shops top shelf....
Did Naps make a boo-boo? In that case, (sorry DS) I am Team Babbage, here me roar!
Tim Berners-Lee invented the internet, not Charles Babbage.
Nobody is claiming Newton invented gravity. But if we're going there you asked for it.
Newton's theory of Gravity has many practical uses and is still in use today, I'll come back to that later.
I for one am glad that the makers of aeroplanes know how gravity works.
And not only that but how the 3 laws of motion will affect them aswell.
So in effect according the Greens he has helped with the destruction of our environment and aided diseases to spread around the world at a much greater speed, then days of the train/ship travel.
Well, Newton spent half his life on alchemy, and thought he was chosen by God to intepret the scriptures. So he was a bit bonkers. Also, there is this:
