Contemporary philosophical realism is the belief that some aspects of reality are ontologically independent of our conceptual schemes, perceptions, linguistic practices, beliefs, etc. Realism may be spoken of with respect to other minds, the past, the future, universals, mathematical entities (such as natural numbers), moral categories, the physical world, and thought.

Realists tend to believe that whatever we believe now is only an approximation of reality but that the accuracy and fullness of understanding can be improved. In some contexts, realism is contrasted with idealism. Today it is more usually contrasted with anti-realism, for example in the philosophy of science.

Discuss with reference to 4-4-2 and the wing back system.

Bloody Hell. I remember New Faces well - a time when Simon Cowell was just a spotty oik and Marti was in charge of British TV talent spotting!

Reality, to the individual, is a subjective perception. Reality, to a group such as the SZ forum, is a shifting, fluid interpretation of conceived, though largely preconceived input that allows discussion to be void of logic and rationality. Accepted discourse is generally initiated by a wee birdie, a hair dresser or a golfing buddy. You have got to love it!

My hair dresser was right about Ferdinand signing last season, sort of. He was adamant that we would sign a new forward on the day Anton put pen to paper. Good enough for me! Sadly he splits his footballing loyalties between Arsenal and Millwall, so reality doesn't feature all that often in his world.

If you are going to invent a story make it REALISTIC!
For example "My care worker".........................................
