Relatively obscure bands that you love

The Alarm, The Chords , the Milk

To be fair most of the stuff I listen to will be obscure to the majority , it wasn't massively popular in 76-82 when it first come out ..(except The Clash / Jam and the two tone stuff)

Dego (from 4hero) plays at the Jazz Café in Camden a couple of times a year usually, went to see him this year, really good 4hero-esque stuff
From what I've heard, Dego was about 40% responsible for Goldie's 'Timeless' album. The other 60% being the work of Rob Playford. Not sure what the man himself actually did!

Never knew that!
I know early 4hero was drum and bass. I heard them on Trevor Nelson and went to buy the two pages album, when I couldn't find it I asked the guy in Andy's records and I was advised it was in the Drum n Bass section! That album really isn't drum n bass!

Yeah, the founder members go right back to the early days of jungle - Mr Kirk's Nightmare and all that. I really love the first major label 4 Hero album - the perfect blend of soul, jazz and D&B.
