So... reasonably happy with the weekends results?

Tranmere lose at home, and Orient throw away three points ! It means we are closer to the playoffs than we were before the weekend

Walsall and Doncaster win .. looks like we are after 6th place !

Leeds win ... ominous and they have some easier fixtures on paper in next few weeks.. looks like we will be battling them for that sixth place !

I think i am reasonably happy, with two home games to come !

TBH , I think we should forget about sixth place and set our sights on Walsall in 5th . Not saying I want to see it happen , but can see this Leeds appeal gaining some momentum and the barstewards leap-frogging their way back up - maybe not all 15 points but some form of compromise.

I also think we are going to face stiff competition from Oldham and Bristol Rovers as the season plays out .

(PS - Orient only threw 2 points)

I think 5th place and Walsall are still up for catching, and should be our aim to avoid playing one of Donny, Carlisle and Forest in the play-offs.

We are only 4 points behind Walsall and they still have to come to Roots Hall.

The draw at the Withdean was perfect for us. I wouldn't rule BHA out just yet, they have 2 games in hand over us. Best thing to do would be to beat them at home in the re-arranged fixture.

They also have to go to Forest and Leeds in March and play Tranmere in April

:)

They are in free-fall since Cureton gone away

Don't forget that Colchester lost too!

Yes OBL,

But strangely where last season their home form was their strong suit, they seem to be picking up more points away this & total rubbish @ Layer Rd.

Must be their magnificent surroundings having a profound effect on their performances.

They are a waste of our forum space, so will not give them the benefit.

Exactly how I see it!

This weekend really has put emphasis on us getting results against the teams in the top 6.

At the moment 5th is the realistic peak we can achieve with the others all having games in hand which could put them 9 or more points above us.

Even 5th will be a tall order with 4 points to make up with a tough March ahead of us.

We have a good chance of getting into the play offs but its going to be difficult and we need to pick up some points off off Forest/Swansea/Tranmere/Walsall and Carlisle to stay there.
