RIP Elisabeth Sladen (Dr Who's Sarah Jane)

I guess she kept her illness to herself, very sad news along with Katy Manning probably my favourite of the Doctor's assistant, probably all the more poignant given that Dr Who returns to BBC 1 on Saturday.

RIP

Actually she started with John Pertwee ;) . Very sad loss though , as RTD said last night many sad children this morning due to the Sarah Jane Mysteries

Total shock and an absolute tragedy for her family and us fellow Whovians. RIP Sarah Jane

Apparently they postponed filming of the Sarah Jane adventures at the start of the month, due to her being ill but it wasn't reported she had cancer, kept it very private. Rest in peace Elisabeth, she has made on impact on multiple generations across 28 years.

Been a huge Doctor Who fan all my life really sad to hear this.
Appeared in Doctor Who first in 1973 with Jon Pertwee then with Tom Baker until 1976. Made a few guest appearances over the years in Who then had her own series 'Sarah Jane Adventures running from 2007 to present.

RIP Elizabeth Sladen
