Why the heck is this thread still going? The funeral is over, we didn't get a day off - surely end of story?

If you have 10minutes, this video is a very interesting watch: http://youtu.be/u6XAPnuFjJc
Started watching, quite tired, latish on a Friday evening..........didn't have the intention to look at it all but got hooked and totally captivated until the end!
Much more so than Thatcher's funeral, which personally I found pretty unwatchable.
I can't believe you even tried! As I was working, I was unable to watch anything other than a few highlights on the news, but there were plenty who DID watch.

I know the funeral thread was closed. But the actual costs have been released. Way lower than original estimates
Cost of Baroness Thatcher's funeral was £3.6m, Downing St says - ceremony £0.5m, security £1.1m & further police cover £2m

A few million is small change for the government. And lefties don't usually object to state spending...
Morons. Most of the greasy socialist students weren't even born when Thatcher was PM and have no idea what the country was like before or during her reign.
Which is roughly what we get back everyday from the rebate that she fought for from the EU. So as state funerals go, an bargain.
Thatcher fought hard for that money for the country, so sad that subsequent leaders lacked any bones in their back.

I do.It was a much more democratic, tolerant and civilised place. There is such a thing as society.
To be fair Barna thats complete bollocks.I do.It was a much more democratic, tolerant and civilised place. There is such a thing as society.
So techinically was only £1.6 million, as the police would/should have been working anyway?
