I watched us draw with Rochdale in 1981 to secure our first ever 'real' trophy - the 4th division championship. I will be 'working from home' on Thursday watching us beat the same team at the beginning of our quest to return to the fourth tier. Let's smash these two bob mugs.

I remember that game well, Tony Hadley's header from the edge of the penalty box into the North Bank net, to bring us back level and get that point.

Haha tbh ive got a really bad feeling about it and am dreading it !
Yes, Rochdale are a good side and unfortunately were in fine form before resting 7 players against Braintree. They must be favourites so we should prepare ourselves for disappointment - the default position for Shrimpers fans. However, we are hard to score against and I don't think that Rochdale are going to find it easy.

I know league results are not included for this game, but this season we have played Rochdale twice and won 1 and drawn 1.

Rochdale first team might get caught cold, as they haven’t played any competitive games for over two weeks.
