Ron Martin speaks to Chris Phillips

I am not sure which company paid for that thing that is going rusty all over BL. 500k wasnt it on some vanity project of RM's. If it was the club that amount would help us greatly atm.

That's not really a soccer dome, it's going to be the away stand at Fossetts.....................One day. Get our own back on Gillingham.

Still think it's a bit off that the Trust came second in the agenda. Then again, there may have been reasons why of course.
Lot of people read the echo that arent on here. Ron wanted to get his 'message' out to the most people.

Or a 5 percent kickback on the surveys and 700 adverts on the echo site ?

It's actually preferable that he speaks to the Echo first as that allows the Trust to follow up on any issues raised.

Not worth anything. It would probably cost more to have it removed, which is why it sits there rotting away. As for a vanity project of RM, it was a massive mistake on his part. He didn't take into account the cost of erecting the Dome, £1.5m-£2m. How daft is that?

Hang on, none of us know what he did/didn’t take into account.
At that time he thought we were moving to Fossetts.
If you remember a very early plan had a newly built VERY expensive new built training facility that we needed if we were to get to the championship and get a higher level academy.
The two domes made Massive financial sense at that time , and he obviously had access to the money.
If we had moved to fossets and they were erected then it would have been a master stroke.
Of course it hasn’t happened, but at the time it was ( too me) a logical business decision. It’s only with hindsight that it looks dumb- and that’s assuming they are never built. It could still turn out to have been a shrewd business move in the long run.

Ron buying up a dome and storing it at B&L, to make sure we get a cat 2 status academy...... Hardly fits the FBI profile of the evil asset stripper who wants the club to fail.

Maybe he’s planning on using the steel carcass to build his own evil headquarters into the side of the Benfleet hills, to retreat into once he liquidates the club?

He’ll be Essex’s version of Blofeld, but with more bling.

.
But will he also a have a white long haired pussy @GBJ?

I just don't believe a word he says anymore, despite his efforts to do the Q&A with CP.
Come to think of it, how are the trust getting on with their meeting with him. He hasn't pushed them aside in favour of the Echo has he ?

Ron met with representatives of the Supporters Liaison Group and Trust this evening.

An agreed minute of that meeting will be published in due course.

I can't add much more until then.
