A CV has just landed on my desk and in the GCSEs section there is a subject called 'RMT'.

Anyone know what that is? Of course, it was all English, Maths and History in my day etc etc etc.

He got a 'D' by the way.

Well I never. Thank you both.

He's not getting the job anyway - in the sports quiz part of our application form he answered 'Manchester United' for the question 'Who won the 2008 Open Championship?'

But at least I've learnt something new today so it wasn't a totally wasted effort on his part.

You have a sports quiz to get into the betting game!!

Come on then Ux, what are the rest of the questions ?

Got to make a quick getaway this evening so haven't got time to post them, but I assure you, they're very easy (Q2 - what colour jersey does the leader of the Tour de France wear?).

It's important that the people whose job it is to input betting events and sports results have at least some appreciation of the sporting world. One day you might be setting up Zurich Premiership rugby and then inputting results for Finnish ice hockey the next.

To answer your question Hammo - Ladbrokes Head office

And Stats - see you tomorrow at 9am for your induction

Hope you make a mean cup of tea and don't flinch when the "radish" is introduced....

Just occured to me: RMT, Railways, Maritime and Transport Union. Is Bob Crow after a new job perchance?
