2025/26 SEASON TICKETS: IT'S A FAMILY THING

Being a Southend United supporter is about more than just 90 minutes; it’s a family thing.
It’s about waking up on a matchday with a spring in your step. It’s about catching up with familiar faces as you make your way to the stadium. It’s about taking your place in the stands as part of a community united.
There is no better demonstration of this than our 2024/25 season finale, where 29,000 Shrimpers came together when it mattered most to break records and roar our team on at Wembley Stadium. After less than a year under new ownership, constant shows of resilience, passion, and quality have allowed us dream again. While no journey is without bumps in the road, there is no doubt that we’ve come a long away in a short space of time.
Looking ahead to 2025/26, we’re ready to build on the foundations laid during the previous campaign. We’re ready to continue working on our shared principles of creating joy through football, becoming sustainable, and engaging our community. We’re ready to create more lifelong memories together.
On that note, 2025/26 season tickets are now on sale. Whether you’ve stood on the terraces for decades or are just beginning your journey with the Shrimpers, this is your time to stand with us again. Your season ticket ensures you continue 70 years of tradition at Roots Hall and play your part through every chant, challenge, and celebration.

PRICING

Balancing Affordability with Sustainability
For the 2025/26 season, we have implemented a 5% increase in season ticket prices, with corresponding rises in matchday ticket prices (details below).
Like many organisations, we’re facing significant increases in our operating costs. These include matchday staffing – following the rise in the National Living Wage – rising energy bills, and growing costs associated with maintaining and repairing Roots Hall.
More broadly, while the club is making positive progress, we remain at a financially challenging juncture. Annual losses are reducing but remain high, and we are embarking on a multi-year infrastructure transformation across both Fossetts Training Facility and Roots Hall, both of which are vital investments for the long-term sustainability of Southend United.
At the same time, we recognise how important affordable football is to our community, especially during a period of ongoing cost of living pressures.
It’s a difficult balance to strike, but we’re committed to building a club that lives within its means. However, we don’t want to get there by placing the full burden on our supporters.
Our 25/26 season tickets remain the most cost-effective way to follow the team at £18.26 per match for an adult across 23 home league fixtures.
We’re deeply grateful for your continued support, and proud to have you with us as we rebuild Southend United together.
Seniors
As detailed in last year’s season ticket announcement, we have raised the age of the Senior category by another year, to 62 years old. This gradual increase towards the State Pension Age of 66 ensures no existing season ticket holders lose their Senior status pricing.
Juniors
For Juniors who are part of our Southend United Community Foundation Academy and Centre of Excellence, a £20 discount can be applied to your season ticket if you purchase it from the BTMK Box Office with valid ID.
Under-8s
We’ve had to remove free season tickets for Under-8s, who will now be charged £23 (£1 per game). During 2024/25, Under-8s season tickets had an attendance rate of just 29%, and 17% of tickets were never used once during the season. We hope that returning to a fare for Under-8s will encourage these tickets to be used on a more regular basis.
Armed Forces
We’ve also added an Armed Forces & Veterans discount. As with Emergency Services and Disabled season tickets, you must be able to show valid ID to qualify for the concessionary rate.
Below is a full breakdown of pricing for 2025/26 season tickets.

MATCH TICKET PRICES

To reflect the increase in a 25/26 season ticket, match ticket prices will be subject to a small increase too, further underlining the saving of a season ticket when compared to individual match tickets.
25/26 confirmed ticket prices are as follows:

SALE PERIODS

Season tickets will go on sale to all supporters at 4pm today.
The seats of existing season ticket holders will be reserved until Tuesday, July 1.
On July 2, season tickets will be taken off sale for 48 hours to commence a seat swap period, allowing 2025/26 season ticket holders to move into previously reserved seats, before all seats go back on general sale on July 4.
10 June - 1 July: Season Tickets on sale and 24/25 STH seats reserved
2 July: Season tickets off sale for 48 hours during movers period
4 July: Season tickets return to general sale

THE NORTH BANK

The Solopress North Bank will continue to be the home of The Blue Voice after the switch was made for the final four home matches of the 2024/25 season.
Season ticket holders who made the move over to the North Bank for the remainder of last season will be able renew their new seat online or revert to their original seat by renewing in-person at the BTMK Box Office.
A season ticket holder can’t have two reserved seats simultaneously, so instead our box office staff have manually placed a hold on the original seat.

CHANGES TO FRIENDS AND FAMILY

During the season, there are some occasions where demand for tickets will exceed supply, meaning a priority period will be introduced for supporters who are season ticket holders.
To assist with this, all season ticket holders will now need their own ticketing account. This will help in certain circumstances like our National League Play-Offs Semi-Final fixture away at Forest Green Rovers, where the priority period meant supporters could only purchase one per account.
Details on how on how to do this can be found in the document below.

FAQS

What are the benefits of being a season ticket holder?

How do I buy my 2025/26 season ticket?

Which matches are included in my season ticket?

If I moved to the North Bank last season, can I renew my season ticket in my original seat?

When can I book 2025/26 seasonal hospitality tickets?

So my season ticket is in the west but moved to the north for the last few games I’m away at the minute so can’t go to the ticket office does my season ticket get reserved in the west or just the north or both till the 1st does anyone know thanks

Anyone know what the capacity of Roots Hall is now, is it above 10,000 again ?

I believe we sold around 4300 Season tickets last season, so anything above 4000 with be fantastic effort.

It is divisive, but the only thing I disagree with is the discount for Emergency Services. I believe COSU are being very generous with this substantial discount considering there are no doubt many hard working fans that do not earn near what Emergency Service workers earn and play an equally important role in society. Overall, no complaints with my increase but can understand others maybe feeling that pinch a bit more may not be so pleased. Very interesting to see the cost of maintaining/running Roots Hall for a year.

EDIT - I’m not going to reply to quotes as I respect others opinions and will not draw this thread into a political dog fight. It is just my opinion of the discount and that it feels rather generous. £158 pounds discount, good on you if you’re entitled to it.

I’d be interested in knowing if they’ve got any improvements planned for the facilities in the west stand. I’d prefer to stay there but if they haven’t it might be the north for me.
