Said at the time they lost the election the moment they appointed him.

Now he has lost an election his stock is even lower than before.

Never stood a chance after how Murdoch and the media have targeted him. I'm undecided as to whether he should go or not, I think he should by the next election, but some candidates like Jim Davis could do with a bit more experience, Andy Burnham is favourite and I'd like to see that. Harriet Harman taking over as caretaker is a good shout.

Going, going, gone as I type this. Harriet Harman taking over temporarily until leadership elections.

Andy Burnham is awful.

He's like a Labour Grant Shapps.

How about trying to find someone with some actual substance?

It's not even as if he's any good electorally - he was beaten by Ed Miliband in 2010.

His work around the Hillsborough disaster and getting documents released and inquiries, etc, has been excellent.

As Barna says Chuka Umunna or Yvette Cooper now seem to be considered at similar odds to Burnham as well. Interesting that bookies are giving odds of around 20/1 for David Miliband but that must be highly unlikely.

He's back in the UK apparently. But I doubt Labour would touch him with a bargepole.

He also got booed and heckled for attempting to deliver a party political message at a Hillsborough memorial event.
