As much as I love the traditional sweet toppings on the pancakes (lemon and sugar, jam, chocolate spread) you really cant beat a nice savoury filling. Ham and cheese is an easy choice but my personal favourite ive tried was roasted peppers and goats cheese

Good call, but I'd add a pinch of salt instead of sugar when making the batter, possibly some chopped herbs as well such as basil.

Im off out for dinner tonight as its my mums bday, so am contemplating doing pancakes for lunch @ work. The only problem is, that all we have is a microwave.

The question is, can i make pancakes from batter in a microwave?

Please help asap, as im going out to lunch soon!

No! Just make a soggy mess I'd imagine.

Won't have time tonight, finish work at 6 and got to get to the ground for the Scunny game. Will make them at the weekend from scratch and will have Lemon and Sugar on them.

Golden Syrup and cream for me tonight.

Wanted to get Maple Syrup but it's extortionate! Looked in both somerfield & sainsbury's and it was almost £5 for a bottle!!! Next year the other half will be getting her family to send some $1 maple syrup through the post!

Love sweet pancakes, but savoury ones are superb too. My son loves marmite on his.

Sausage with some sort of tomato sauce wrapped in pancake, then strawberry and chocolate sauce covering the pancake (lovely and sweet:)) and then off to the footy!

Had 3 with lemon and sugar and they were really tasty....glad I only have them once a year, makes them taste so much better.
