As you may know Sky Sports have made a dedicated channel for just F1 next season which will be showing the free practices, the qualifying, the race and interviews etc. My question to the Zoners for anyone that knows? What is the deal with it? Do you have to have a Sky Sports package to watch? If that is the case are they going to do a season ticket style option to watch the races like they did a few years back with the football.

I ask this as my Dad is gutted that they have taken some of the races off BBC. He has Sky but refuses to get the sports package and was wondering if it's going to be a free channel for HD customers or if they are going to offer an option for you to pay for the races to watch rather than having to subscribe to the whole of Sky Sports as I would like to get it for him if that's the case.

So if you have the HD package then you don't have to have sports package to receieve it or have I read that wrong?
