What makes anyone think Barrett would leave a job where he's paid regularly and treated with respect to come to SUFC?

Because he loves Southend and it’s his club!
There's s far big picture. He's got bills to pay and a family to support. He's not already a millionaire like SC. Anyone would be mad to jump from secure employment to a club that's teetering on the brink of extinction.
Include the Daily mirror, Guardian and Evening Standard with that lot brother. This is made up. If it’s in the Sun, Mail or Express treat it like you would medical advice from Donald Trump..

Not detecting a great deal of love for the man here?
My gut feeling is that I am not bothered. Worrying times for SUFC, and despite Ron saying the future is bright, its the survival of the club I am more interested in. If Sol has his heart in it and wants to stay, fine. If not, off you go, we’ll find someone else. Not detecting a great deal of love for the man here?
I’ve recently come into regular contact with someone on the Millwall staff, who is pretty close to Barrett, and he said that he’s fairly glad he didn’t take it...
