Ok my first year as a full season ticket holder for Southend and I sit in the south Upper block I , been reading the forum for a few days and have a few questions maybe you may be able to answer.

  • Blues voice - I’m guessing they have a area in the stands – where is that area
  • Is there any members of the Blues voice in the south Upper
  • Currently I think the south upper has been very quite this year do we have any plans to improve the singing or has this been tried many times before.

There are several Blue Voice people sitting in the South Upper, me for instance, and the club allows season card holders to transfer to the West for some games.
The SU chants on occasions but the idea is for the Blue Voice to get an area in the new ground where, hopefully, the acoustics will be better as the Blue Voice cannot always be heard all round the ground which hinders everyone joining in. The only part of Roots Hall that has great acoustics is the bit the away fans occupy.

If you start to cheer/chant/clap in the South Upper you are in danger of waking the majority of us up. Either that or we'll lose our false teeth over the front of the stand!

G man, you know that encouraging the team is not allowed in the South Upper & you risk ejection if you do. Amazingly, bearing in mind how much I moan, there are people who whinge on longer & louder than me! :stunned:

Having been to a total of one proper game this season, i.e. the opener vs Posh, I am now faced with the dilemma of Hereford or Beer Festival & Blues Band at the Chequers for 3pm Saturday.

Tough call!
