Yes, I dare say this will openly annoy some small minded people, but some of our best ever players have been of coloured origin and I would like to pay tribute by seeing if we can come up with a complete team made up of our coloured bretheren.

Mel Capleton

Lewis Hunt
Leon Cort
Keith Dublin
Chris Powell

Andy Ansah
Keith Jones
Jay Smith
Ricky Otto

Stan Collymore
Richard Cadette

Subs
Wayne Gray, Shaun Goater, Tes Bramble, Leon Constantine, Leo Roget, Ian Benjamin, Barrington Belgrave

plus many more

Keeper aside, what a squad that is.  That is a team that could easily challenge for the Championship and possibly higher.

So, now we've established that we actually have a tremendous collection of coloured players both past and present, who's going to try and say that this is in any way discriminatory, defamatory or racist?

How can you have Hunt in the first eleven + subs? and Tes twice!

I like the fact Collymore is in both teams

And yer Hunt has made up half the back 4!

I've decided to base the side only on players that I've seen... so it's all post-1990:

Black XI:
              Capleton

Hunt     Roget     Cort       Powell

Ansah   J. Smith  K. Jones   Otto

        Benjamin   Collymore

Subs: Warren, Hutchings, Dublin (sorry HKB), Constantine, Gray

White XI
                Sansome

Austin      Prior      Scully      Lapper

Whelan    Butler     Marsh       Tilson

          Angell     Eastwood

Subs: Royce, Barrett, Byrne, Maher, Guttridge

Two bloody good sides there (maybe apart from Mel - sorry Mel!)... difficult to predict which one would win.

Lapper at leftback?

When did we drop Chris Powell to play him there?

Its bad enough you naming Dubin on the bench as one of 3 defenders, but fbm who is normally pretty accuate with these types of things names the donkey ahead of Roget!

My XI

Bramble
Hunt Roget Cort Powell
Ansah K.Jones J.Smith Otto
Collymore Cadette

Subs Capelton, Westley, Hutchings, Benjamin, Regis
