Kev reminded me the other day that Diego Costa is unattached, maybe we should approach him with a cheeky offer to come and play a few games!

Everyone’s entitled to an opinion, but there’s a difference between a reasoned opinion and blindly shouting MM’s ****, Acquah’s ****, without suggesting reasonable alternatives. Shrimpet Steve does this constantly, making ludicrous suggestions such as playing Mellis on the wing in the most recent pre match thread, hence the ridicule.
I voted MM out on the most recent poll by the way and am very much on the fence right now, so I’m by no means a fanboy, but I can see the progress we‘ve made defensively. I do think Ron’s the main villain in terms of our awful reputation with agents/other teams, hence why we can’t attract half decent players.
I totally respect what you're saying but, from my short time on this site, bullying does seem to be an issue. I see the persons post but just say nothing if I don't agree. Sometimes it's better to just say nothing. One or two people I've learned to just say nothing too, as I'm sure people do the same with some of my comments.
Sure. You have a point. It can go too far. But that poster has been relentless in criticising one of our young home grown players. Some people here have just been sticking up for 'one of our own', a kid who went to school in the town and made the first team ahead of schedule. If any poster is that uncompromising in their opinions about a player they are going to attract some come back, surely?
Just ignore the comments I guess. I've also been critical of that payer, I don't expect everyone to like them but at the same time, don't expect to be bullied.

As a supporter you have the right to a point of view about OUR club without being called out & held up for ridicule on here.
We’re all annoyed & frustrated this year more than most due to circumstances, however I’ve noticed a few people getting a bit close to the mark with their replies & as you say, borderline bullying in certain cases. I really think some people need to stop & think before they post
Don’t forget there is a ‘report’ option you always can use though.
As a lifelong Southend fan I’d just ask everyone to remember that we are all on here because we LOVE this club of ours & are on the same side regardless of opinions.
Up the Blues!

i think the MM masterplan today was chasing around in a high press ,,,
when this did not work the team went back into their defensive shell - with the hopeful boot being the most effective option,
then we had the usual mess of substitutions ..
in his time as manager MM has not developed any effective pattterns of play, showed any effective leadership, brought any clarity to selection or squad building.
he disrupts the team with ego driven "tactical" changes - in selection and substitutions - he has failed to develop SUFC youth players or maximise incoming loans ..
the result of his management is clear to see to
We played 4 4 2 for 10 minutes and it slowly deteriorated. A strange thing to watch.MM saying on the official site that we played 442 today? Really? I couldn't quite work out what formation we were playing but it didn't look like 442 to me. There were still far too many occasions when we didn't have enough players in the box.
technically it's our 4th manager - or rather it's Kelly's 2nd spell in charge - his 1st was for 4 games in between David Dunn and Michael Jolley. He won 2 of the 4 games as caretaker then, and has won 3 of 5 this time round - so with Kelly in charge we have had the bounce both times. This is Barrow's third managerof the season. They didn't get a so called "new manager bounce" when they appointed their second one, did they?
What a load of rubbish. Ego driven? Laughable.
As for maximising loans - Olayinka, Taylor and Cordner all done well. Would take all three permanently quite happily. Green looked like he had something in his brief spell before injury scuppered that.
Now is not the time to be developing youth players. But at the start of the season up until December a lot featured. Clifford has been a joy to watch. Elvis is only, what, 21? Acquah has played regularly.

I would argue Taylor doesn't look as good as he did when we first signed him and as for Cordner, no thanks, don't rate the guy at all.
I also agree about our youngsters; Clifford was excellent last season and has just carried that on, but it seems MM doesn't like playing him. He only came back into the side when Hart got injured (at a time when a number of us were calling out Hart's defensive liabilities) and then it looks like he couldn't wait to drop him again.
And what has happened to our other promising youngsters. One of our keepers decided to leave, due to being frozen out and other than Egbri, no-one else gets a look in.
