We didn't play well , but the level of negativity on here when we WON is quite staggering.
If it wasn't for Bentley....
if they had a bit more luck.....
if only they could finish .....
BR would have won ....

They didn't , we did !

I thought it was a great win, don't get me wrong. But it's frustrating to see us let our minds shift to protect our "clean sheet mentality" and tell the players to defend and hold on for the win. The way I see it, the more you focus on not letting the other team score, the more likely they are to score a goal against us. I'd just like us to come back out in the 2nd half with a more positive, attacking attitude, where we continue where we left off from in the first half, because in the past few weeks we have not come out in the 2nd half wanting to win the game.

Credit to the team for holding on for the win, but we shouldn't be struggling in the 2nd half after having played so well in the 1st half. Hoping we can go on a bit of a run in the JPT, fingers crossed!

As we struggle to put out a forward, I was interested to see a full page article in the Independent sports section on Justin Edinburgh. Congrats to Justin. He is clearly developing very well and despite being a defender , Gills have scored 31 goals to our 17. They have also strengthened by signing Dominic Samuals on a month long loan from Reading today. Samuals scored 6 goals in 13 appearances for Coventry on loan last year and 2 appearances for Reading this. Seems other sides are pulling in loanee strikers. Wonder when we will?
